Important: Update with respect to the Mexican Telecommunications Reform
Dear Clients and Friends:
Please be advised that on July 14, 2014, the Mexican Federal Government published on the Official Gazette of the Federation the Decree that issues the Federal Law of Telecommunications and Broadcasting, the Mexican Law of Public Broadcasting System and reforms, adds and derogates several provisions concerning telecommunications and broadcasting. The provisions of this decree will be enacted thirty (30) calendar days after its publication.
The purpose of these laws are to regulate the use, development and exploitation of radio spectrum, public telecommunications networks, access to active and passive infrastructure, orbital resources, satellite communication, the provision of public services of general interest of telecommunications and broadcasting, and convergence among them, the rights of users and audiences, and the process of free competition in these sectors and exercise the rights established in the Mexican Constitution.
